Admissions - Longleaf Learning Center Schedule a Tour Admission Our school year begins in August and ends in May. We want our children to develop strong relationships with their teachers and their classmates so we do not “age out” children on their birthday. Your child stays with their teachers and friends for the entire academic year. Parents can enroll a child at any time during the school year, depending on availability.

This is a wonderful school— all three of my children have loved it! I currently have my 2-year-old and 3-year-old enrolled, and the experience has been fantastic. The teachers truly care about the kids and show genuine warmth every day. The director is incredibly attentive, always approachable, and just a really kind person. Highly recommend!

Both of our kids attend Longleaf Learning Center and we’ve had a consistently great experience. The staff is approachable and caring, and it never feels corporate. Teachers across classrooms know our child by name. Drop-off and pick-up are truly convenient and well run. They’re warm at the door but on time and structured, which keeps the day smooth. Communication is excellent, with timely updates and reminders from the director (Jackie) through Procare and email. Coming from Starkey Ranch, the location and flow make daily logistics easy. Most importantly, our kids are happy, learning, and cared for.
All three of my kids have gone to Longleaf Learning Center, and I can honestly say we’ve had nothing but amazing experiences. From the moment we started, every teacher and staff member has been kind, patient, and genuinely invested in my kids’ happiness and growth. Each of my kids is different, and the teachers have always taken the time to get to know them individually — what they love, how they learn, and what helps them thrive. Miss Loralee, in particular, has been such a special part of our journey. Her patience, kindness, and ability to make every child feel seen and loved have meant the world to us. The communication with parents is great, the classrooms are clean and full of creativity, and you can truly tell the staff loves what they do. Every one of my children has left Longleaf completely ready for kindergarten — their teachers have even commented on how prepared and confident they are compared to many of their classmates. Longleaf has been such a positive part of our lives, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place that feels like family. ❤️
Both of our daughters have thrived at LLC. Over the years other programs have opened, and on occasion tempted us to make a switch because they are new and shiny, but I'm so glad we've stayed at Longleaf - they have a special blend of tradition and warmth. The teachers are all truly amazing - we have been blown away year after year by all of the staff, but especially our classroom teachers. Their hearts are fully in it, and they've cultivated a family like feel for our little ones. Our girls have developed and grown so much at this school. Our older daughter's transition to kindergarten was seamless - their K-readiness is exceptional!
Our family has had such an amazing experience here. Both of our kids started at this preschool when they were two, and it’s been incredible watching them grow, learn, and become so confident. The teachers and director are simply wonderful, kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they really love and care for the kids. Something that really stands out to us is how supportive and understanding the staff is. Our children had speech delays when they first started, and the teachers were nothing but encouraging. They treated our kids with the same warmth and attention as everyone else, and we never once felt left out or ignored. Thanks to their positive environment and patience, our kids are now chatting away and thriving socially and academically! The preschool has such a special, homey feel, definitely not the big, corporate atmosphere you find elsewhere. It’s small enough that everyone knows each other, and it feels like one big family. The classrooms are happy, the activities are creative, and the communication with parents is always excellent. Tucked away in the Longleaf/Starkey community, this place is a true hidden gem. We’re so thankful to have found a preschool that not only teaches our children but truly loves and nurtures them. We couldn’t recommend it more! If you’re wanting to find that perfect first school for your child, I highly recommend come seeing it for yourself.
