My daughter has had a wonderful experience here. She’s one of the older children and is closing out her time there, but they have been essential in helping her acclimate to a new town and environment since we moved to Tampa. The teachers are great and I can tell they actually care about my child’s wellbeing. We will miss them!

This was our first daycare experience. My toddler has only known my husband and me, plus his grandparents. We don’t have any other family here so this was very new territory for him. He was very hesitant, at first, and it took a week or so to become acclimated to the new routine. The best part of this was that his teacher, Miss Leeann, made him feel so comfortable. You could immediately tell she was so loving and wanted to help him feel at ease. I am so impressed with her! Now, my son reaches for her whenever I drop him off. He loves her! I recommend this place and Miss Leeann!

We chose Kids are Kids because of the description of a Montessori atmosphere. Unfortunately, my child is very bored and not challenged at all. My child scored above on the assessment and is still doing things learned last year. The front office staff is very nice but the owner Joy seems to lack customer service skills and the ability to be kind. As an owner you would think she would make an effort to be welcoming. She even scolds office staff in front of parents which is so unprofessional. She is very rude and speaking amongst the rest of the parents it seems to be across the board. We will not continue next year. It’s not worth the money. The curriculum is sub par. The promise to challenge each child at their own level isn’t being fulfilled. Looking at the other ratings, I’m not sure if it’s a Florida thing that people find this school acceptable coming from another state. I have found public schools with better curriculums and a higher academic achievement rate this past year. The teachers are kind but they also need to be able to teach beyond the bear minimum. There’s so very few reviews which makes the overall review of this school look better than it is. If there is a committee for the school, I would eliminate Joy being in close interaction with the parents and staff during school hours. She is not an asset to the school. Quite frankly, she will most likely be the demise. Very disappointed with the overall experience

We toured many places before deciding Kids R Kids in Westchase was the best place for our daughter. The front desk staff is wonderful and helpful with any question or concern I ever have. They have a parent-accessible camera system in each classroom that is included in the tuition. You receive a daily update to your e-mail showing if and how they used the bathroom, how long your child slept for nap time, what was served to eat and how much was eaten. There is an in-house chef who makes 2 healthy (kid-friendly) meals a day (snacks in between each meal). And every classroom is see-through showing there is nothing to hide while the children interact with each other and with their teachers. My daughter runs up to Wendy every day to give her a big hug. Ms. Nadina and Ms. Sadia are the best teachers we could've asked for and Joy runs a tight ship and keeps everything in order. Since starting at the age of two, she has learned to; count to 10 in spanish and english, sing the alphabet, sing many nursery songs, eat on her own and use the potty! We put my daughter in the ballet classes they offer once a week with Miss Laura and she loves it! I'm so glad we found Kids R Kids! We hear so many horror stories about pre schools all over Tampa and they are nothing like them. We definitely plan on keeping her there until she's off to kindergarten.

The owner is a constant presence at this school, which makes a big difference. She runs a very tight ship and most of their staff has been there a very long time. They don't seem to have the same staff turnover rate that a lot of daycares/pre-schools do and I always found the teachers to be very loving and caring. They always take the time to talk to us and answer any questions when we come to pick the kids up. Overall we've been very happy there. They also offer a lot of additional activities, like dance, gymnastics, computer classes, etc. I wouldn't put much stock in a review that makes snap judgements about the entire school based on a person who is answering the phones (who, by the way, is in an administrative role and is not a teacher). We had children in this school for 5 years and have been very happy.
